AEW’s goal was to make Takeshita a star in North America, and having him team up with Brian Danielson amid his feud with MJF was an impressive start. Since his TV debut with Jay Lethal on May 4th Rampage, The Osaka native has done nothing but impress all the elite wrestling fans. A few weeks later, he wrestled with Hangman Adam Page gunpowder, Viewers have been hooked on him ever since. Takeshita signs a full-time contract before AEW full file On a pay-per-view basis, Tony Khan added him to Danielson and MJF’s main event championship program over the past few weeks.
Salt of the Earth is trying to knock Danielson out 60 minutes before Iron Man revolution. Takeshita was one of the original opponents tasked with taking down the American dragon with one or two limbs, but the two earned mutual respect instead. In the uncanny absence of the Blackpool Fight Club from the MJF’s frequent attacks on Danielson, Takeshita stepped up and stood up to defend the living legend. After Konosuke stopped Friedman from attacking Bryan gunpowder This week, it was announced that MJF and Takeshita will fight next Wednesday. Interestingly, that match will be a World Championship knockout, perhaps opening the door for a nasty one. However, is this really possible?
Brian Danielson can take down MJF vs. Takeshita
MJF can’t lose empty handed to Takeshita gunpowder. This makes no sense since AEW is trying to develop Max into a wrestler on a level playing field with Danielson. The upcoming Iron Man competition is the vehicle for that, and Khan seems to be trying to raise the bar for the world championship as a performer in the ring. The biggest hit for MJF is how little he wrestles. So, having him eat up Takeshita’s battery on a weekly TV show just a few weeks before pay-per-view wouldn’t be a valid reservation. However, there are other ways for Khan to win Takeshita uncertain.
An angle that fans can see gunpowder It was Danielson’s intervention. Recently, MJF not only interfered in Challenger skirmishes, but he also paid Bryan’s opponent a lot of money to injure him. If Danielson decides to meddle in Friedman’s business next Wednesday night, no one will blame him, especially if he starts cheating on Takeshita. Several post-game scenarios are possible, but Takeshita can’t beat MJF with Danielson’s intervention.
Or at least that’s how AEW has attracted fans over the past few weeks. Tony Khan hasn’t always been the greatest as he’s willing to add suspenseful skepticism to his feud, but adding the title-removal tag here is a great one. It makes viewers feel that Takeshita really has a chance to stand out. However, winning at this stage will do him nothing but weaken the world champion, so that’s unlikely. It will be hard to remember at the end of the main event that is supposed to be next week gunpowder, in spite of.
Takeshita doesn’t get lost in the melee with AEW’s best picks
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Takeshita’s presence in AEW so far is how comfortable he is with the company’s biggest names. He wrestled Danielson, Page and Moxley and certified with all three. Takeshita even pulled Brian Cage into a mediocre match. It’s hard to imagine his fight with MJF not making the top three, which means he’ll prove capable against the best of opportunities.
Not only that, but he feels right at home with the realistic angle between Danielson and MJF. His English is better than expected, but Takeshita isn’t going to drop an advertisement bomb in front of the crowd. At least not soon. As such, his ability to tell stories in other ways is crucial. He’s proven he can do it on and offstage. This is a very promising sign for future AEW. Takeshita is too good to get lost in the chaos, even though the people standing next to him are the best in the world at what they do – MJF holding the mic and Bryan Danielson in the ring.
Which brings us back to next week gunpowder. Can AEW shock fans and give Takeshita an unbelievable win? Sure, but it made more sense for MJF to be strong for most of the match before he used a nasty tactic to win. This will enhance the storyline Khan is weaving between Friedman and Danielson, and also give Takeshita a close but not quite match with one of AEW’s top stars. Konosuke Takeshita will eventually target MJF and Danielson et al. It just might not happen next week.
