YouTuber CinnamonToastKen has hit back at claims that PewDiePie “made him” and that he wouldn’t be where he is today without help from the Swede.
During his time on YouTube, CinnamonToastKen has built a huge following with millions of subscribers since he first joined in 2011, but some attribute his success to PewDiePie.
Pewds and Ken have collaborated many times over the years, but according to Ken, people have exaggerated PewDiePie’s influence on his channel and claim that those individuals are trying to “undervalue” him.
In a heated thread, Ken took aim at those who say he “would be nothing” without PewDiePie in an attempt to stop his haters once and for all.

While Ken admitted that PewDiePie played an important role in helping his career, he also noted that he tried to stay ahead and take advantage of the boost he received.
“That thank you took my channel from 1,500 to 3,000 subscribers 10 years ago. Most people didn’t even realize he was shouting another channel in that video. The difference is that I kept going,” the YouTuber revealed.
According to Ken, he made a name for himself by creating content and connecting with the right people. Even though it “had to endure a lot of bad things” at first, it was all worth it in the end.
“Now I have everything I ever wanted,” Ken added. “People will always talk and make you feel worthless or pick on your shortcomings. The important thing is to realize what you have and appreciate it.”
His comments also echoed those of Twitch star Pokimane, who advised that instead of being angry at trolls, streamers should pity them.
