Career
Corliss Williamson started playing basketball in high school. He used to act in high school, where he earned numerous honors. Corliss was appointed to all-conference and all-state three times. He was awarded the Gatorade National Player of the Year award in 1991-1992.
From 1992 to 1995, he also performed at the University of Arkansas. In 1992-93, he guided the institution to a 22-9 record and a berth in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, and was awarded the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award. After that, Williamson led Arkansas to the title game in 1995, but they were defeated by UCLA. Corliss declared his departure from the game in September 2007 to become an assistant coach at Arkansas Baptist College. He then spent three years as a volunteer instructor at Arkansas Baptist.
On March 12, 2010, he was named the men’s basketball coach at the University of Central Arkansas. On August 2, 2013, he left central Arkansas to work as an assistant for the Sacramento Kings. Corliss left the Kings on June 29, 2016 to become an assistant coach for the Orlando Magic under new coach Frank Vogel. On May 22, 2018, the Phoenix Suns revealed that Williamson had been named an assistant coach under new coach Igor Kokov.
