Flank TV series explained: ZooMaa & Ben clash over the future of the CDL program

The Flank hosts Ben J Nissim and Thomas ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto clashed after Ben complained on stream about the show not progressing.

The competitive CoD community has enjoyed The Flank for a number of seasons, with a mix of elite-level CoD insights with pro player jokes.

However, it looks like things may have gone wrong as Ben has spoken out about some issues he’s had with The Flank, and it happened online when ZooMaa and Ben clashed.

Nissim let fans know of his frustrations while streaming during the Halo tournament watch party, hinting at a lack of ambition from his Flank co-hosts.

Ben expressed frustration with the lack of plans for the show’s future, saying: “I’ve been feeling frustrated with The Flank lately.

“I feel like I’m the only one who wants to take this program to the next level. I feel like I’m screaming at a brick wall these days. And when we go to events, I feel like I have to do literally everything. I really hope it changes.”

He goes on to say that while focusing on the bigger picture, he feels like “everyone is constantly stuck in the present moment” and he’s the only one who wants to do that.

ZooMaa and Ben clash on stream

ZooMaa responded to Ben’s criticism live on stream while the two were on the phone, saying “you made me look bad, you tried to make me look like I didn’t care.”

Following a live stream where Ben talked about his frustration, ZooMaa said that fans had called him “immature” and accused him of “not caring about the show”.

Ben admitted that he regretted what he said, saying “I misinterpreted that in that clip, that wasn’t what I was trying to say at all.”

The two seem to agree on certain topics, with ZooMaa letting Ben know that “I’m on your side” on the issues. But Nissim still seemed uneasy, saying “my problem is that I’ve been talking about it for eight months and it’s still not done.”

Fans of The Flank will be hoping that the two can set aside their differences to keep The Flank afloat, especially as more professionals retire, and Scump’s “The Breakdown” show and Methodz also vie with them to attract viewers during the CDL season.
