That’s why TikTok is introducing Sleep Reminder—to promote healthier device habits among users. Here’s how you can set up sleep reminders on TikTok so you don’t lose track of time.
How to set up TikTok sleep reminder
Setting up sleep reminders on TikTok is pretty straightforward. This is all you need to do.
- Open the TikTok app and go to your Profile page.
- In the top right corner of the screen, tap the Menu bar.
- Select Settings and Privacy, then scroll down and tap Screen Time.
- Tap Sleep Reminder.
- At the bottom, tap Set sleep time.
Now it’s time to choose your bedtime. Use the slider to set how long you want the alert to show, then tap Done to finish.
Your TikTok app will now show reminders at your chosen bedtime, reminding you to relax and pause your screen usage.
When sleep reminders are enabled, your TikTok notifications will be muted for seven hours, so you won’t be disturbed by them while you sleep. This is one of the ways you can mute notifications from TikTok.
You can also change the sleep time whenever you want. Just go back to Sleep Reminder and tap Edit Sleep Time. Scroll to choose a new bedtime, then tap Done. To turn off the sleep reminder, simply turn off the slider.
