Junior Balaiah (1953-2023) was a famous Indian actor in Tamil cinema, mainly regarded as the son of actor TS Balaiah. Throughout his four-decade career, he played mostly supporting roles and also played comic and villainous roles in Tamil films. He died of a heart attack on November 2, 2023, at his home in Chennai.

• Despite appearing in many films, he was unable to achieve the same success as his father.

• He borrowed money from the bank which led to his financial crisis. He then began following Christianity and established a healing facility called the Healing Stripes Ministry.

• In 2014, Balea revealed his intention to set up a film production company to provide his son with opportunities to pursue an acting career.

• Balaiah participated in the activities of Nadigar Sangam (South Indian Artists Association).
