TikToker Cam Wilder had ‘Park Tarkover’ shut down by police after thousands of fans descended on San Antonio, with some comparisons being drawn to Kai Cenat’s New York riots.

As the years go by, content creators and streamers only meet their fans at events. They have set times for autographs, photo shoots, and seminars, and it’s hard to catch them outside of those times.

Now, many creators have started ignoring such events and holding their own meet and greets in public. Some have been more active than others over time, but the most notable disruption occurred in early August when Kai Cenat arrived in New York and was about to give away the PS5 to fans. He was later charged with inciting a riot.

Well, police have now moved to shut down TikTok star Cam Wilder’s ‘Park Takeover’ in San Antonio after thousands of fans filled Lady Bird Johnson Park.

If you’re not familiar with the term Park Takeover, it comes from the NBA 2K franchise where players play street-scavenging games in permanent parks while many others gather around to watch and wait. it’s my turn.

Wilder, who has 5.5 million followers on the short-form video app, advertised the takeover of the park in San Antonio on September 3 and, according to police, an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 people had face.

According to a police statement sent to KSAT, they ordered the crowd to disperse because its size posed an “imminent threat to public safety”. However, police noted that the crowd was not violent.

Wilder responded to the chaos in a short clip on TikTok, calling it “Kai Cenat s*it.” However, that TikTok upload and his subsequent YouTube video of it have all been removed.

Furthermore, apparently, two attendees were injured, one was “heated” and another had his arm cut from a fall.

Other TikTokers said they tried to move the takeover to a second location, however, that location was also closed. So he might have to be careful next time he visits San Antonio.
